What is the Credit Card Processing Fee of 2.9%? In order for your campaign to receive online donations, you have to have an online credit card merchant account provider. There is no other way around it and there is no way to avoid it no matter where you go. We use Stripe.com because it’s rated as one of the best. Stripe.com will charge you 2.9% plus 0.30 cents per transaction for credit card processing. This fee is typical no matter where you go if you want to use your credit card for the donation. If you want to avoid this credit card processing fee, then you can make “offline” donation by sending a check or money order to the campaign you support. We, EZsamaritan, receive no benefit of any kind from Stripe.com regarding the fee you paid.
